Candy Bar Cake
Candy Bar Cake is really a sweet and delicious cake recipe. Melted candy bars are very tasty when combined with butter. When the cake is done you can decorate it with candy bars. It is good recipe for special day and good option for wedding anniversary cake.
Materials That You Need for Candy Bar Cake
9 fun-size or 21 mini chocolate-coated caramel and creamy nougat bars
1/2 cup butter or margarine
2 cups sugar
1 cup shortening
3 large eggs
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
For garnishing: Chopped frozen fun-size chocolate-coated caramel and creamy nougat bars, candy corn
Preparation of Candy Bar Cake
Take a heavy saucepan and melt butter and candy bars in it on medium heat for 5 minutes. Continue stirring until mixture becomes smooth then set aside.
Take 3 of 9-inch cake pans, grease and floured the bottoms.
Beat sugar and shortening in a mixing bowl with electrical mixer on medium spend 3 minutes. Add eggs one by one and beat eggs well to mixture after every addition.
Mix flour and salt in bowl. Stir with baking soda and buttermilk. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture gradually and alternately with buttermilk mixture. Beat them after each addition to combine at low speed. Add candy bar mixture and vanilla in it and mix. Spoon this mixture for 3 prepared cake pans equally. Bake cakes at 350F for 30 minutes. Leave it for cool after cooking 10 minutes in pans. Then carefully remove from pans and allow completely cooling.
Use the half of Chocolate-Marshmallow Frosting to spread between the layers of cake. Then cover the cake with remaining Chocolate-Marshmallow Frosting .You can decorate the cake if you want with chopped frozen fun-size chocolate-coated caramel and creamy nougat bars and candy corn.
