Materials That You Need For Chocolate Mocha Cake

For Preparation Of Cake

  • Softened butter, for greasing
  • 3 large eggs
  • 85g caster sugar
  • 70g plain flour
  • 1 tbsp corn flour
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • ½ tsp baking powder

For preparation of the icing and filling

  • 25g dark chocolate, chopped (don’t use 75% chocolate, or the icing will be bitter)
  • 1 tbsp strong black coffee
  • 100g light soft cheese
  • 100g 0% Greek yogurt
  • 2 tbsp icing sugar

For decoration

  • 15g dark chocolate, chopped

Preparation of Chocolate Mocha Cake

Start with heat the oven to 180C.

Take two 18 cm sandwich tins and grease them slightly. Take eggs and sugar in a mixing bowl and; whisk them till become fluffy. Mix it for 5 minutes with tabletop mixer and continue mixing for 10 mins by using an electric hand whisk. The mixture’s volume is increased for leave trail on the surface of the cake.

Sift the flour, corn flour, cocoa and baking powder on this mixture and mix all of them by using large metal spoon. Pour this batter between the tins equally and bake for 15-20 minutes in pre heated oven. Leave these tins to cool for 5 minutes.

Now, it is time to prepare decoration ingredients. Microwave the chocolate and coffee for near 20-30 seconds until the chocolate melt with medium heat. Then take from microwave and stir gently. Beat soft cheese with the yogurt and icing sugar until the mixture become smooth. Take half of this mixture to another bowl and pour melted chocolate on it. Take one of the cakes on plate and pour yoghurt mixture and spread. Place the second cake and cover the top with chocolate yogurt mixture.

Then microwave the 15g chocolate for 20 second to melt. Mix gently to make it smooth. Drizzle over the surface of cake for decoration.
