Materials That You Need White and Dark Chocolate Cake
For The Preparation Of Cake
- 175g butter, softened, plus extra for greasing
- 100g white chocolate
- 100g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 3 eggs
- 100ml whole or semi-skimmed milk
- 175g caster sugar
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 200g self-raising flour
- 2 tbsp very strong coffee (instant is fine)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For The Preparation of ganache and to decorate
- 284ml double cream pot
- 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
- 50g white chocolate, melted
- Small bag of Maltesers white chocolate (optional)
Preparation of White and Dark Chocolate Cake
Start with heat oven to 180C. Take 2 20cm sandwich tins and grease the bottom. Then start to prepare cake. Take white and dark chocolate and break them into small pieces into a small bowl. Then take it to microwave for melting 1 min or over. Add everything except the coffee and vanilla to another bowl and mix them until become creamy.
Divide the mixture two; add the coffee and melted dark chocolate into one and add vanilla and melted white chocolate to another one. Mix them well and pour into cake tins. Bake for 20-25 minutes. Then leave them to cool.
For preparation of ganache; take cream in pan and start heat. Take dark chocolate and break into small pieces in a bowl. Pour the cream on the chocolate after it boils. Split two of cake across the middle then topping between layers with ganache.
You can decorate the top of cake with melted white chocolate as you want.
